Zero Global is seeking a Solar Project Engineer in San Diego, CA, to design and execute solar PV projects. Responsibilities include system design, site assessments, and coordination with teams and stakeholders. The position offers a salary up to $120K with benefits, and allows for hybrid remote work.

About the Job:
As the Solar Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development and execution of solar PV projects. This role requires technical expertise in solar engineering, project management skills and collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure successful project implementation.
• Develop and optimize solar PV system design, including module layout, electrical design and energy yield modelling.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine project viability.
• Prepare technical specifications, engineering drawings and documentations for permitting and construction.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors and external stakeholders to ensure projects meet technical, regulatory and safety standards.
About You:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in solar project engineering or related role
• Proficiency in solar design software such as PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD and electrical modelling tools.
• Strong knowledge of NEC codes, California interconnection requirements, and permitting processes.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license of NABCEP certification is a plus
• Full driving licence and ability to travel when needed.
