Job Description

White Construction is seeking a Solar Project Coordinator in Los Angeles, CA, to manage renewable energy projects across the U.S. This traveling role involves coordinating engineering studies, managing change orders, and overseeing project quality. Overview: Join our dynamic team as a Solar Project Coordinator, where you will play a crucial role in managing renewable energy projects from lead phase to successful completion.

Location & Travel Details: This is a traveling position with the opportunity to work onsite at solar project locations across the U.S. You can expect to spend 8-20 months on average at each project site. We offer a designated daily per diem in addition to a competitive base pay to help cover living expenses, along with routine travel home from your jobsite. A vehicle allowance will also be provided.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate engineering studies.
• Manage change order requests.
• Collaborate with engineers on project developments.
• Coordinate with estimating teams for project accuracy.
• Handle submittals and requests for information.
• Assist owners and clients with specifications and technical inquiries during the planning stages.
• Maintain active communication with regional managers on project status.
• Create and manage subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Track job costs and predict monthly revenue streams.
• Oversee quality assurance and control on projects.
• Resolve contract disputes with owners.
• Establish monthly billing procedures.
• Review general conditions cost and subcontractor payments.
• Issue change orders and execute progress payments.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in the Solar or EPC construction industry.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Analytical skills for financial calculations and evaluations.
