Job Description
SolarTech Energy is hiring a Solar Pool Technician Helper in Phoenix, AZ, to assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing solar pool heating systems in the San Diego area. This hands-on, field-based role requires a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. Responsibilities include supporting the Lead Technician, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring a safe work environment. Candidates should be physically fit and possess a valid driver's license.
SolarTech Energy, a leader in the solar energy industry and boasts one of the largest Solar Pool Heating Divisions in the United States. We are expanding our team to meet growing demand for solar pool heating services in the San Diego area.
Position Summary
As a Solar Pool Technician Assistant, you will support our Lead Tech in the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar pool heating systems at client sites throughout the San Diego area. This is a hands-on, field-based role ideal for candidates with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn about solar and pool systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist Lead Technician with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar pool heating systems at residential and commercial properties
• Help transport, load, and unload tools, equipment, and materials at job sites
• Support routine pool maintenance tasks, such as cleaning filters, inspecting plumbing connections, and checking system performance
• Learn to test and balance pool water chemistry as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety procedures
• Communicate courteously with clients and team members
• Accurately log work performed and assist with inventory of materials and supplies
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Technician
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Hard-working, reliable, and eager to learn
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a field environment
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work outdoors in varying weather
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Pay Rates
Pay rates are solely based on experience.
