Price Work : Earnings between £32,000 & £36,000

Clarkson Evans is the largest electrical and solar installer working in the new build housing sector, wiring over 24,000 homes a year. Established over 40 years ago, we now employ more than 850 staff across the UK and we work with the country’s major house builders.

The Role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual with a keen eye for quality to join our installation team. You will need to have had a full clean UK driving licence for at least 2 years. You will need to be comfortable working at height, willing to work across England and flexible to work a range of hours (with occasional overnight stays). CSCS card and site experience is preferable but not necessary. You will have a proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently, be reliable, punctual, have a proactive approach to problem solving and a positive attitude to health and safety. This includes helping move materials, working on scaffolding and assisting fitting the panels as a team. You will be expected to ensure the site is kept clean and tidy, unloading, and assisting with deliveries and general labouring duties. The candidate will join a motivated team that has an emphasis on delivering quality installations in this exciting industry.

Responsibilities
• Installation of Solar PV on new build, domestic & commercial properties.
• Setting out and stringing the panels as per the design provided.
• Running and connecting the DC cables.
• Gathering photo evidence.
• Completing relevant forms through our app-based system.

Requirements
• You must be eligible to work in the UK.
• Full UK Driving License
• Previous experience of working in construction industry or similar outdoor industries.
• Practical experience as a roofing labourer or Solar PV installations an advantage
• IPAF and telehandler licence a distinct advantage.
• Methodical, accurate and process focused approach to tasks.
• Flexibility to work throughout the UK, including evenings and weekends.
• Good problem solving skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability to read and follow detailed instructions, follow technical drawings measure distances, and perform calculations using phone or calculator

You will be issued with a company vehicle, fuel card for each team and uniform. You will receive full training with the opportunity for progression to team leader on demonstration of ability with higher payment rates. The role is paid weekly.
