About the position
MOSS is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Solar Laborers/Operators in Guston, KY. The role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, performing physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting heavy materials. The starting pay for this position is $22 per hour, with opportunities for career advancement in the growing field of solar energy. In this role, you will learn all aspects of being successful and safe on solar projects. You will operate hand tools, including tape measures, wrenches, hammers, drills, rivet guns, shovels, grinders, and rakes. Additionally, you may operate machinery such as PD10, Skid Steer, and Excavator, and perform duties as a Millwright, Solar PV Installer, or Quality Control Representative. The job may require extended hours, with shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and overtime or work on weekends and holidays may be necessary. MOSS prioritizes the safety and well-being of its employees, requiring a pre-employment drug test to ensure a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
• Learn all aspects of how to be successful and safe on Solar projects
,
• Operate hand tools including tape measure, wrenches, hammers, drills, rivet guns, shovels, grinders, and rakes
,
• Provide various general labor duties in the field on Solar project sites
,
• May operate PD10, Skid Steer and/or Excavator
,
• May perform as a Millwright, Solar PV Installer or Quality Control Representative
,
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested
,
• Work extended hours, with a single shift lasting as long as 12 hours; overtime and work on weekends and holidays may be required
Requirements
• No prior experience necessary, but a willingness to learn is essential
,
• Must enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather
,
• Must be able to walk, stand, kneel, and lift heavy materials, adhering to all safety standards
,
• Must have reliable transportation to and from project site
,
• For some positions, experience operating PD10, Skid Steer and/or Excavator is preferred
,
• Ability to work on weekends and holidays as needed
