Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Solar Installer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role will involve leading the delivery of rooftop solar PV installations across a variety of roof types (slate, tiled, flat, metal etc.), overseeing both in-house installers and subcontracted labour. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to teamwork and site leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the installation of solar PV mounting systems and panels on domestic and commercial roofs
• Oversee and work alongside both in-house team members and subcontractors to ensure installations are completed to a high standard
• Always ensure safe working practices and compliance with health & safety procedures
• Conduct pre-installation roof assessments when required
• Work closely with electricians and assist with electrical aspects of installations where needed
• Liaise with office and technical teams to ensure smooth project delivery
• Maintain a clean and professional site environment

Essential Requirements:
• Proven experience in roofing (pitched and flat) with a portfolio of completed installations
• Experience leading installation teams or supervising subcontractors
• Skilled in installing solar PV mounting systems
• Valid CSCS card
• Working at Height training
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Strong understanding of site safety and risk management

Desirable (but not essential):
• Electrical qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3, Part P)
• Experience with battery storage or hybrid systems
• PASMA/IPAF certification
