A Solar Installation Technician is a skilled technician who plays a crucial role in the transition to renewable energy. You will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining solar panel systems on residential and commercial properties. Responsibilities for the Solar Installation Technician:
• Expertly install solar panels, inverters, and associated components for both rooftop and ground-mounted systems.
• Conduct thorough site assessments to optimize system placement and performance.
• Meticulously follow blueprints and plans for precise and efficient installations.
• Rigorously test electrical components and connections to guarantee functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve solar installation issues with a problem-solving approach.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and maintain clear communication with project managers and customers.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in top condition for optimal performance.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and support throughout the installation process.
• Ensure all work complies with National Electrical Code, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain accurate digital records and photo documentation of completed work.
• Prioritize safety by strictly adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements for the Solar Installation Technician:
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in solar or electrical systems are a plus.
• Proven experience installing solar systems or working in a related field.
• OSHA or other relevant safety certifications are a bonus.
• Working knowledge of electrical wiring, schematics, and blueprints.
• Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
• Self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic.
• Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with desktop applications and technology.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
