Solar Inside Sales Associate $40,000 - $45,000 starting salary - Raleigh, NC (hybrid) Opportunity to work at a mission-driven Certified B Corp and INC Best Place to Work that is committed to leading the change by using business as a force for good Opportunity to bring your passion for sustainability and clean energy to work We are currently seeking a full-time inside sales associate to support our solar energy and building science teams. This position comprises 2 main parts: inside sales for inbound residential solar leads (we call this Solar Education) and sales support for our outside sales team on new construction solar projects. The inside sales associate position serves as the first stop on our customers’ journeys and is a critical position at SEM. The ideal candidate for this position will be an excellent communicator, positive and enthusiastic, driven to succeed, and with a strong commitment to sustainable energy and business practices. What You’ll Do In This Job Solar Educator (Solar Inside Sales) Respond, manage and follow up with inbound solar leads to educate them and set site visits Educate potential customers on how solar works, its benefits, and what makes Southern Energy different from other companies Promptly respond to inbound leads via email, text message, and/or phone and log activities Staffing and supporting marketing events (farmers markets, home shows, etc.) Ensure accurate lead data entry and reporting New Construction Solar Support Monitor and process incoming solar POs from builder portals Build system design and customer proposal for new construction solar jobs Support sales team with customer presentation prep Monitor and provide outreach regarding monthly closed home reports Salesforce administration and reporting Requirements Friendly, outgoing, and enthusiastic attitude Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to “read” a customer by phone and guide the conversation Ability to manage time and multiple priorities well to meet deadlines, goals, and quotas Motivated and driven to succeed in selling sustainable, clean energy solutions Flexible evening and weekend schedule for supporting sales and event needs At least one year of previous sales experience in a B2C roll (preferred) Proficient Google Suite/Microsoft Office especially Google Sheets/Excel Experience with Salesforce or Hubspot CRM systems (preferred) Company Benefits Health Insurance, Vision, & Dental After Life, Short-Term, and Long-Term Insurance 401(k) & Company Match 4 hours paid time to volunteer Paid professional development opportunities Pet friendly office Diversity & Inclusion SEM values diversity and inclusion and encourages all qualified people to apply.
