Solar Hybrid Project Developer Project Manager Role

Exact Solar is hiring a Solar Hybrid Project Developer Project Manager in Newtown, PA. The role requires an engineering degree and 5+ years in the solar photovoltaic industry, focusing on commercial projects. Responsibilities include overseeing design, permitting, procurement, and site coordination. Candidates should possess strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills. This position is not remote, as most projects are local to the Greater Philadelphia Area.
Exact Solar is seeking an experienced solar project developer and/or project manager. Candidate must have an engineering degree from a 4-year institution and a minimum of 5 years experience working in the solar photovoltaic industry on commercial projects. This is not a design engineering role, but candidate will oversee design engineering resources as needed. This role involves proactive development and coordination for commercial solar projects inclusive of all design, interconnection, permitting, procurement, subcontracting, site coordination, safety, etc. Relevant field experience developing and managing commercial solar projects will be the primary consideration for hiring.

The candidate should possess renewable energy industry experience, project development knowledge, strong communication and leadership skills, a focus on detail, and effective problem-solving skills. Candidate will be expected to work with other team members to proactively generate new projects for existing sales relationships. This is not a sales role, but relationship management is expected.

Candidate must be detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to manage multiple and shifting priorities. This is a role for a problem-solver, able to work through challenges and bring projects in safely, on-time, on-budget, and with a satisfied customer. This is a role for a self-starter who can independently complete tasks ahead of schedule and keep multiple internal and external stakeholders aligned throughout the project cycle.
