The Solar Field Service Technician (Operations and Maintenance), Level III in the PEARCE Renewables Solar Operations and Maintenance Division performs tasks involving physical labor at solar energy sites near Denver, Boulder, Breckenridge, and Colorado Springs, Colorado. The Solar Field Service Technician is responsible for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of solar power plants in accordance with established preventative and corrective maintenance standards while always maintaining safety and professionalism. These are local sites; candidates should reside within 50 miles of the Denver, Boulder, Breckenridge, and Colorado Springs, Colorado areas.

Responsibilities
• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance of equipment.

• Responsible for documentation including work orders, time logs, inventory control, and emergency information schedules.
,
• Provide a working knowledge of troubleshooting electrical components using digital multi-meters, meggers, amp clamps, and similar equipment.

• Test and troubleshoot installed equipment to ensure proper working order.
,
• Maintain a strong safety background with experience in Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).

• Work effectively in both solo and group environments.

• Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Renewables Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.

Requirements
• 2+ years' experience in Commercial/Industrial operations and maintenance (O&M) on solar power plants is preferred.

• Preventive maintenance experience on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) equipment is preferred.
,
• Strong mechanical and electrical experience with troubleshooting and installation skills.
,
• Specific solar experience with Inverters, Tracker Systems, or Sub-Stations Equipment (TMEIC/SMA/Sungrow/Nextracker/ATI, etc.) is preferred.

• Ability to train, mentor, and develop laborers into Apprentices.

• High aptitude and a strong work ethic are a must.

Nice-to-haves
• Experience with Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) equipment.
