Solar Field Service Technicians (Photovoltaic Repair) specialize in conducting inspection and corrective maintenance of photovoltaic (PV) solar panel systems, adhering to established procedures and prioritizing health, safety, and environmental compliance. Solar Panel Maintenance Technicians will be responsible for both internal and external inspection and maintenance of solar panels, inverters, and other PV components. Their tasks may include troubleshooting, testing, and repairing solar panels, as well as handling materials. The role requires a strong commitment to safety and professionalism, as technicians will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of solar power plants in accordance with established standards and procedures. Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs, but the core responsibilities will remain focused on ensuring the effective operation of solar energy systems.

Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot inverters, combiner boxes and replace/repair string lines.
,
• Perform LOTO, IV Curve tracing, megger/insulation testing, and IR scans.
,
• Responsible for the operation and maintenance of solar power plants in accordance with established standards and procedures; always maintains safety and professionalism.
,
• Troubleshoot system problems and resolve issues in a timely manner.
,
• Responsible for documentation including, but not limited to, work orders, service orders, time logs, and emergency information schedules.
,
• Operate a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Renewables Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.
,
• Maintain PEARCE Renewables company vehicle so that it is always clean, presentable, functional.

Requirements
• 1-2 years suitable employment experience; High aptitude and a strong work ethic is a must.

• Apply NFPA 70E/OSHA 10 training.
,
• Provide a working knowledge of troubleshooting electrical components with help and use of digital multi-meters, meggers, amp clamps, and similar equipment.
,
• Able to test installed equipment, ensuring proper working order including daily mechanical electrical inspections.
,
• Proficient with Microsoft office.
