Job Description
Renewable Energy Systems (RES) is seeking a Solar Field Engineer Intern in Utah to assist Project Engineering teams on construction sites. Interns will support experienced engineers, shadow operations, and handle project documentation. The internship lasts 10 weeks, requiring relocation to project sites across the U.S. Candidates must be pursuing a degree in Construction Management or Engineering and possess a valid driver's license. Compensation includes a base salary plus stipends.

Summary:
RES is looking for an intern who is eager to learn about solar infrastructure by assisting the Project Engineering teams on our construction sites. Interns will typically support one or more experienced engineers in their performance of assignments, spend time shadowing actual operations, and have unique assignments that support larger projects and experience the daily workings of Project Engineering. There are currently project locations across the country and interns should be ready to relocate to any of our project sites for the duration of the internship.
Requirements:
• Accountable to promote safe behaviors and correct "at risk" behaviors.
• Support the generation, maintenance, tracking, and updating of project-specific procurement log, RFI log, POD, and engineering milestones weekly.
• Attend meetings and take minutes and distribute to Project Engineer for review and distribution to project team.
• Assists and maintains project documentation structures using SharePoint, Procore, or client systems (RFI, drawings, submittals, transmittals).
• Review and check conformance of vendor submittals and engineering designs (where applicable) to exhibits of the prime contract.
• Attends work punctually, as scheduled or expected.
• Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies and Procedures.
• Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.
Qualifications:
• You must be working toward a BS or MS degree in Construction Management or Engineering (Civil preferred).
• Internships are 10-weeks in length, tentatively scheduled May 28, 2025 - August 15, 2025.
• You must have a valid driver's license.
• You must be 18 years of age by the start of the internship assignment.
• You must be eligible to work in the United States with no visa sponsorship.
• You must complete an internship at any one of our project locations in the United States. This often requires relocating out of state for the duration of the internship.
• No work experience required, although construction experience is helpful.
Anticipated base salary range: $ 20 - 23
On top of base salary, RES interns also receive: $125 daily per diem, $100 monthly cell phone stipends, access to a company vehicle with a gas card, reimbursement for their travel to the project site and home, and more!
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
