Solar Energy Solutions, an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) is seeking an experienced and innovative Solar Engineer to join our growing team in the Cincinnati, Ohio office. As a leading provider of solar energy solutions, SES is committed to delivering high-quality and sustainable energy options to homes, businesses, and communities. As a Solar Engineer, you will have the opportunity to design, analyze, and optimize solar PV systems, ensuring the highest level of performance and efficiency.
Responsibilities
• Design solar PV systems, including layout, module placement, and inverter sizing
• Perform detailed system modeling and analysis to optimize energy production
• Create technical drawings, specifications, and other engineering documentation
• Collaborate with project managers, installation teams, and customers to ensure seamless project execution
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations
• Provide technical support during the installation and commissioning of solar energy systems
• Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate feasibility and design requirements
• Prepare and present reports, proposals, and project evaluations
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Proven experience in solar PV system design and analysis
• Familiarity with industry software and tools such as PVsyst, Helioscope, and AutoCAD
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and codes
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
