Solar Energy Design Specialist - Solar & BESS - Commercial & Industrial

Join a dynamic start-up in the Solar & BESS sector as an experienced Solar Designer, working directly with the founder to advance renewable energy solutions. This is a unique chance to be part of a company that is set to develop and lead in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create and refine detailed designs for large-scale commercial and medium-sized ground-mounted solar projects, emphasizing energy efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and environmental responsibility.
• Optimize current designs to improve the performance and dependability of renewable energy systems.
• Ensure all designs adhere to the Local Planning Authority (LPA) and UK regulations concerning solar and battery energy storage systems.
• Oversee the grid application process for both new and existing energy projects.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:
• 3-5 years of experience in designing large-scale solar or battery storage projects in the UK.
• In-depth knowledge of energy generation, storage systems, management systems, and the UK energy market.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is a plus.
• Proven expertise in design and simulation software such as PVSol, PVSyst, AutoCAD, PSCAD, Matlab, or similar tools relevant to the UK renewable energy sector.
