Job Description

Industrial Trade Services is hiring Solar Electricians in Fairfield, IA, offering $20-$40 per hour based on experience. Responsibilities include wiring solar systems, obtaining permits, ensuring quality control, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining safety standards. Candidates should have electrical work experience, preferably in solar construction, strong communication skills, and a valid driver's license. This is a full-time position with no specific degree required.
Needed: Solar Electricians and Technicians in Fairfield, IA

$20-$40 per hour depending on experience and licensing

Duties of the Solar Electrician include but are not limited to:

• Perform electrical wiring of solar array/system (AC and DC)

• Assemble the solar electrical work per contracted plans and related codes

• Pull necessary electrical permits and work with necessary AHJ with final electrical inspections

• Collect records of all permits and electrical inspections for each project

• Generate list of electrical requirements for individual AHJs as they arise

• Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on crew safety

• Must be comfortable working from ladders and on rooftops

• Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and operational issues

• Communicate with customers in a professional, considerate, and respectful manner, answering all questions and complaints to the best of your ability

• Complete the proper paperwork for each job completed

• Maintain appropriate safety and professional certifications Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in electrical work is required

• Current electrical license not required but preferred

• Experience in solar or construction preferred

• Strong interest in renewable energy

• Valid driver’s license/clean driving record/dependable transportation to and from work

• Strong interpersonal skills and desire to work within a collaborative team

• Ability to carry up to 50 pounds • Excellent communication skills – both written & verbal

• Ability to accurately relay information

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• High level of computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel

• Understanding of solar team operations both in office and in field
