Solar Construction Project Manager (HYBRID)

ICAST is seeking a Solar Construction Project Manager to oversee construction and staff for solar projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion. The role involves managing subcontractor relationships and providing status reports. Candidates should have 3 years of experience in construction management with a focus on solar projects. The position is remote in the U.S.A. with 50% travel required, offering a salary of $100K plus bonuses.

Position Overview:

The Solar Construction Project Manager (PM) is responsible for managing all aspects of construction & staff for solar projects to ensure successful completion on time, on budget, and with a high level of customer satisfaction. The PM will manage relationships with sub-contractors and will provide detailed status reports to management.

Must Have Qualifications:
• 3 years’ experience as a Construction Project Manager or Superintendent w/ a Solar EPC/Installation firm working on commercial or multifamily projects.
• Ability to manage and bring to successful completion multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Deep understanding of PV & energy storage system design, site selection, construction, and commissioning processes.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written.
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, etc.)
• Prior experience with project management software, ideally smart sheet.
• Possess a general understanding of solar and battery incentive programs.

Location: Remote in the U.S.A. (close to a major airport)

Reports to: National Construction Manager

Skill Level: Intermediate

Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field

Compensation: $100K + Bonus

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with contractors and internal support staff to efficiently complete Solar installation projects – both rooftop and larger ground mount.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining on-time schedule, budget, and quality requirements, for all projects.
• Maintaining regular communications with clients and contractors to address concerns and provide status updates.
• Traveling to jobsites to ensure project starts, progresses, and is completed per contractual obligations.
• Providing direct assistance to internal staff for coordination, planning, scheduling, subcontracting, and scope clarifications.
• Providing regular status reports to ICAST Management.

Initial Goals:
• Complete ICAST onboarding process within 1 week of start date and training program within 30 days of start.
• Assume the Solar Project Manager role for existing and new projects within 30 days of start date.
