Solar Advisor - Sales

Empower Energy Corp. is seeking a Solar Advisor for their Grande Prairie, AB team. The role involves conducting feasibility studies, developing quotes, and assisting with solar PV installations. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: We are looking for a Solar Advisor to become part of our Grande Prairie team. The individual should be a natural sales person with a desire to serve others, self starter with enthusiasm for a career in renewable energy and be passionate about creating positive change.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform feasibility studies and system simulations for potential solar PV sites
• Develop quotations and financial analysis for potential customers
• Conduct solar site visits at customers’ premises
• Work at heights measuring roof surfaces and obstructions
• Offer technical and administrative support to respond to solar PV competitive bids
• Work closely with installation teams to install residential and commercial solar PV systems
• Design and improve various solar PV operation processes as required
• Assist General Manager in day-to-day operations

QUALIFICATIONS:
• A natural desire to serve others is a must
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• A "closer" with the ability to stay organized and see things through
• Self-starter with the ability to work alone or as a team
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proven organizational skills, including a high degree of attention to details
• Proficiency at Microsoft Office Suite, esp. Excel and PowerPoint and Google Suite
• Project management skills
• Knowledge in electrical design concepts and Sketchup or related software
• Capable of lifting and climbing a ladder and comfortable working at heights
• Previous solar and/or electrical experience is desired
• Current safety training such as first aid, fall arrest, and AWP would be an asset

Annual compensation $70,000- $120,000 including salary and sales commissions. High performers earn higher pay through commissions.
