PosiGen is hiring a Solar Activation Technician in Plymouth Meeting, PA, to support their mission of providing solar energy solutions. We are seeking an equally passionate Solar Activation Technician to help further our mission through excellent attention to detail, customer service, and a team-focused approach.
Essential Job Functions
• Coordinate and perform commission & activation of solar PV systems.
• Perform necessary work for activation of system; if corrections are needed and/or coordinate with technicians or subcontractors to complete the work.
• Open electrical equipment, solar equipment, stage ladders, and any necessary requirements for the activation.
• Interact with customers on a daily basis; representing PosiGen to the highest standard.
• Use application-based platform to capture photos and upload to project management database.
• Provide daily updates and reporting on project status.
• Communicate with town officials and customers to schedule inspection dates.
• Contact, communicate and schedule with customers and homeowners.
• Assist Installation teams as needed.
• Administrative duties as assigned by manager.
• Follow organization policies and procedures including OSHA requirements; Complete OSHA training as required.
• Attend organization, safety and other training and meetings as required.
Education/Experience
• High School or Trade School degree in a discipline related to construction or building sciences, engineering or architecture is preferred.
• Electrical experience highly preferred.
• Experience and knowledge of solar power energy field is highly preferred.
• Ability for and no fear of working from ladders/scaffolding or working in confined spaces such as crawl spaces or attics, under mobile homes.
• The ability to read plans, specifications, diagrams, equipment submittals, and material data sheets.
• Awareness of illegal or damaged electrical equipment and awareness of unsafe working conditions.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace a plus.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license and clean driving record, ability to meet insurability requirements for the companies automobile insurance policy.
