Environmental Resources Management, Inc. is seeking a Soil and Groundwater Sampling Technician for a full-time, field-based position in Greeley, Colorado. Responsibilities include conducting soil and groundwater sampling, drilling, and remediation system maintenance. Candidates should have a relevant degree and at least one year of experience. The role requires effective communication, safety adherence, and the ability to work independently. The position is limited-term for one year with potential renewal.
ERM is hiring Soil and Groundwater sampling technicians to join our growing team in Greeley, Colorado. The successful candidate will primarily work on remediation projects in northeast Colorado. This is a Full-time, limited-term role with a duration of 1 year, renewable. . RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct field work, including soil and groundwater sampling, drilling, well installation, and remediation system operation and maintenance (O&M). Assist in groundwater and system performance monitoring. Collect and organize field data. Work within quality/budget/schedule expectations and scope-specific assignments. Communicate with other members of the ERM team and contractors as appropriate during field activities. Driving to/from client or project sites is an expectation of the position. REQUIREMENTS: BS in chemical, civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering; geology; environmental science or related degree. Minimum of 1 year of directly applicable environmental or related professional experience, including willingness/interest in field assignments. Strong commitment to safety, including following established health and safety protocols. Previous sampling experience desired. 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification desired. Valid driver’s license and a good driving record. Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed field notes, technical data, and reports a plus. Detail-oriented with mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting/problem-solving skills. Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Local candidates preferred. For the Soil and Groundwater sampling technician position we anticipate the annual base pay of $62,315 – $69,050, $29.96 – $33.20 hourly equivalency, limited-term, non-exempt. An employee’s pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. We also may have instances where employee’s fall outside of the range based on the factors noted above. This job is not eligible for bonus pay.
