**SUMMARY** This is a senior technical leadership position responsible for system architecture design, requirements analysis, functional and detailed design of software programs and systems. Mentors others in the department with respect to processes at every stage of the software development lifecycle. Works independently to accomplish goals with a wide degree of creativity and latitude. Provides expertise in the business domain of ENGIE Impact and ensures technical systems are congruent with business needs. Provides technical guidance for the Information Technology Management team.

**PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**

• Frequently assigned to the Technical Lead role on major software projects involving multiple development resources and significant interaction with other personnel within the business.
• Works with Operations users to develop requirements specifications on projects with moderate to high complexity and scope.
• Develops functional design specifications for software applications of moderate to high complexity.
• Designs codes and unit tests software programs.
• Supports quality assurance group during functional and regression testing of software programs.
• Directs work of other members of development staff.
• Leads software process development and improvement initiatives.
• Acts as a technical consultant to business owners in Information Technology, Marketing, and Operations as they evaluate new and revised product offerings.
• Keeps abreast of new technology and suggests their application to ENGIE Impact systems where appropriate.

**QUALIFICATIONS** **Education:** BS/MS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience. **Experience:** 12 years experience using object-oriented languages, 12 years experience using Visual Studio, Eclipse, or other software development environment, 7 years experience with SQL Server 2000-2022. **Skills/Abilities:** Proficient in MERN stack, MVC, STRUTS, SPRING, ASP.NET MVC, ORM Hibernate, and more. **Certification:** Knowledge of modern web technologies including React and/or Angular. **Cloud Platforms:** Up to date on security best practices, common threats, Azure, and/or AWS.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**

• Typical office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Occasional evening and weekend duties/events may be required.
• Rare travel off-site for local events may be required.
• Exposure to frequent office noise.

**REQUIRED PHYSICAL ABILITIES**

• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, move, sit, and use a computer for extended periods.
• Manual and physical dexterity needed.
• Near vision acuity and adequate hearing and verbal abilities.
