The Society for Experiential Graphic Design is hiring an Environmental Graphic Designer in Cincinnati, OH. The role requires 3+ years of experience in creating 2D and 3D graphics for immersive experiences, including branding and environmental design. Responsibilities include collaborating with project teams, delivering creative concepts, managing design processes, and overseeing installations. Candidates should have a relevant degree and proficiency in design software. Strong communication skills are essential.

We leverage brand experiences, environmental design, placemaking and public art to grow culture for consumers, clients, and the communities we serve.POSITION DESCRIPTIONAGAR is seeking an Environmental Graphic Designer with 3+ years of experience in the creation of concepts, renderings, branding, plans and elevations for immersive experiences. The Environmental Graphic Designer will generate compelling 2D and 3D graphics that communicate the vision and story of experiential concepts that meet client expectations and grow AGAR’s creative portfolio.The Environmental Graphic Designer will support the Creative Director and project teams by applying AGAR’s Design Process to a variety of complex projects such as branded environments, experiential events and brand activations, pop-up events, retail experiences, public art, signage, social media, promotional, webpage and wayfinding designs.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESEngage with Strategy and Creative Directors in vision-setting and brainstorming sessions and bring ideas, energy, trends, and innovation into every project.Deliver high-quality creative concepts that provide strategic solutions (both narrative and visual) in collaboration with other designers.Execute the Design Development process, such as providing detailed specifications for fabricators, collecting field measurements, creating production schedules with operations team, managing install timelines, and overseeing install on-site.Orchestrate typography, color, imagery, form, technology, and content to design visually stimulating graphics that communicate and best represent the concepts being presented and client brand guidelines.Review concepts, revisions and approvals with internal teams and clients.Study and evaluate current industry and consumer trends and appropriately incorporate them into assigned design projects.Assist with selecting and managing design personnel including junior staff, freelancers and interns.Embody AGAR’s vision, mission, guiding principles, processes and core values.Participate in and contribute to internal meetings and company-owned events.DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCEBS/BA in Graphic Design, Interior Design or related field.3+ years of post-graduate experience in graphic design or retail design, experience in environmental and branding projects preferred.Proficient in design/project software such as Adobe Creative Cloud, CADtools, plus developing 3D concepts in Sketch-Up, Enscape or Vray.Extremely accountable and organized in managing and tracking workflow.Thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure situations by making decisions, thinking critically and creating solutions.Demonstrate an understanding of the experiential industry verticals and applications in these professional fields (i.e., automotive, financial, healthcare, hospitality, apparel, beverage, retail).Must have excellent written/oral communication skills.
