Service Technician I

About the position

Clean Energy is on a mission to transform the way the world fuels its vehicles, focusing on reducing pollution from the transportation industry through the use of natural gas fuel. As a Service Technician I, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing equipment related to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), and other fueling systems. This position is essential to ensuring that our fueling locations operate safely and efficiently, contributing to our goal of a cleaner environment. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and adjusting both electrical and mechanical equipment. This includes a variety of tasks such as checking electrical wiring, panels, and motors, as well as mechanical components like compressors and pumps. You will also be tasked with diagnosing and correcting any faults in the equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational standards. Regular inspections of fueling locations will be part of your duties, and you will need to document all activities and service orders using our D365 Clean Energy Field Service Automation software. The position requires flexibility, as you may need to cover other stations in neighboring states and be available for on-call duties outside of normal business hours. This role does not have supervisory responsibilities, but it is vital for the overall success of our operations. You will be expected to maintain a high standard of quality and safety in your work, demonstrating strong communication and teamwork skills to foster a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
• Inspect, maintain and adjust electrical equipment such as wiring, panels, and motors.

• Repair, replace, and adjust malfunctioning electrical equipment to restore proper operating conditions.

• Inspect, maintain and adjust mechanical equipment such as compressors, pumps, and engines.
,
• Repair, replace, and adjust malfunctioning mechanical equipment to restore proper operating conditions.
,
• Make scheduled inspections of CNG, LNG, and/or LCNG fueling locations and equipment.
,
• Diagnose and correct faulty mechanical and/or electrical components related to fueling systems.
,
• Clean and maintain fueling locations.
,
• Drive to or between company sites to perform job responsibilities.
,
• Update and document all activity and service orders in D365 Clean Energy Field Service Automation software.

• Maintain all fueling-related equipment and structures according to manufacturer requirements.

Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Minimum of 2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Basic mechanical or electrical knowledge required.

• Basic computer knowledge, especially using service software.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Nice-to-haves
• Experience with Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) systems preferred.
