Overview:

The Senior Manager – Wind Design is responsible for leading the design and engineering efforts for wind energy projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role involves overseeing project design, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving innovation in wind turbine and farm layout optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

•Project Leadership: Manage and oversee the design of wind energy projects from concept to execution, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.

•Technical Expertise: Develop and optimize wind turbine layouts, foundation designs, and electrical systems while ensuring compliance with industry best practices.

•Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of wind design engineers, fostering skill development and innovation.

•Regulatory Compliance: Ensure designs meet all applicable national and international standards, including IEC, IS, and local grid requirements.

•Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, external consultants, and contractors to optimize wind farm performance and efficiency.

•Technology Integration: Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in wind energy to drive continuous improvements.

•Risk Assessment: Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and wind resource analysis to determine project viability.

•Documentation & Reporting: Prepare technical reports, design specifications, and project documentation for stakeholders.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s or master’s degree in , Electrical or Renewable Energy Engineering.

•10+ years of experience in wind energy design, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.

•Strong knowledge of wind resource assessment, CFD analysis, load calculations, and structural design.

•Proficiency in software such as WindPRO, WAsP, OpenWind, PVSyst, AutoCAD, MATLAB, or similar tools.

•Experience in grid connection studies, SCADA systems, and power evacuation designs.

•Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

•Proven track record of successfully managing wind energy projects from conception to operation.

•In-depth knowledge of wind turbine technology, energy systems, and renewable energy markets.
