The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is hiring a Senior Wildlife Biologist based in eastern Wyoming. This role involves collecting and analyzing wildlife population data, evaluating habitats, and reporting findings. The position requires extensive fieldwork, particularly during hunting seasons, and collaboration with various stakeholders. It offers a full-time salary range of $6,171–$6,857 per month.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Wyoming Game and Fish Department seeks a Wildlife Biologist based in either eastern Wyoming, specifically Platte or Goshen County. This position will coordinate collecting and analyzing wildlife population data for use in setting hunting seasons, identifying seasonally important habitats for all wildlife, and identifying or mitigating environmental impacts. This position will collect data by both ground and aerial methods (helicopter or small single-engine fixed-wing aircraft), coordinate with internal and external cooperators to conduct wildlife habitat evaluations, and will be responsible for end-of-year reports.
