Position Overview
As a Senior Water Resources Engineer at Princeton Hydro, you will lead multidisciplinary projects focused on water resources management, stormwater design, watershed modeling, and ecological restoration. You will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality technical solutions while mentoring staff, cultivating client relationships, and contributing to the firm's growth and mission.
Key Responsibilities
Act as engineering leader, designing and overseeing the implementation of sustainable water management solutions, including stormwater management, floodplain modeling, river and wetland restoration, and dam removal/restoration; Conduct assessments, feasibility studies, and engineering analyses related to hydrology, hydraulics, and water quality; Oversee the preparation of technical reports, construction drawings, specifications, and regulatory permit applications; Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure client satisfaction and profitability; Collaborate with ecologists, geotechnical engineers, and other team members on interdisciplinary projects; Provide mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff, fostering professional growth and development; Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and project delivery; Support business development efforts, including proposal writing and presentations; Perform construction-related fieldwork and/or oversight (e.g., stream surveys and restoration, dam inspections, stormwater management facilities). Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering; Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Valid Driver's License; 8+ years of experience in water resources engineering, with a focus on stormwater, hydrology, or watershed modeling; Expertise in H&H modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, HydroCAD); Familiarity with state and federal environmental regulations, including NJDEP, and USACE guidelines; Strong project management skills with experience leading multidisciplinary teams; Passion for sustainability, innovation, and solving complex environmental challenges; Are you missing some of the desired skills and experience listed here, but still think you'd be a great fit at Princeton Hydro?
