Senior Transport Planner

Cheshire West and Chester Council is seeking a Senior Transport Planner to support the development and implementation of transport policies focused on inclusive, net zero networks and electric vehicle infrastructure. The role involves working with the Transport and Infrastructure team to enhance public transport and active travel. Applicants should have experience in policy delivery and stakeholder engagement. The position is a 2-year fixed term, based in Blacon, UK.
Support the preparation, development and implementation of the Council’s transport policies, strategies and studies, with a particular focus on inclusive, net zero transport networks, electric vehicle charging infrastructure and the council’s Local Transport Plan 4. These two roles will provide support across the Transport and Infrastructure team, spanning transport policy and appraisal, public transport, electric vehicles and active travel modes and safer travel for all.

As a Senior Transport Strategy Officer, you will gain experience and exposure across the team, gaining broad experience of policy development, local bus and rail, road safety and active travel activities
