Job Description
Due to recent project wins, our Energy Team in Sydney have created an opportunity for a ‘Senior Technical Officer’ to join the Digital Engineering team.

This role within our Energy end-market provides design documentation delivery solutions to a broad range of energy and power authority sector and renewables projects, across many clients.
Some of your day-to-day tasks will include:
• Be drafting lead for substation projects. Coordinating all discipline such and primary, secondary, transmission line, civil, & structural to meet milestone deliverables.
• Work as part of a team producing substation design drawings using CAD software’s AutoCAD and Microstation in accordance with client standards.
• Experience in using common data environment such as ProjectWise or BIM360.
• Electrical design models and drawings including substation layouts and sections for equipment and associated utilities, set outs, single line diagrams, secondary schematics.
• Complete drafting reviews on design drawings prepared by others in the team
• Mentor/support juniors in the drafting team and wider Energy team.
• Working co-operatively with team members whilst liaising with engineers and drafters (both locally and internationally) to ensure timely delivery of design deliverables.
• Maintain, developing, and retaining the highest standard of technical design skills
Qualifications
As a Senior Technical Officer, you will possess the following:
• Minimum of 5 years' relevant working experience.
• Demonstrated experience in design drafting for HV and / or traction substations.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to develop concept designs to meet industry standards from scratch with minimum supervision, ensuring innovation and safety is at the forefront of all early discussions.
• Drive to contribute to digital transformation for 3D modelling and digital twin.
