About the position

The Senior Technical Lead for Climate Risk Solutions at RE Tech Advisors is responsible for providing technical expertise and oversight on service offerings related to decarbonization and climate risk management. This role involves training and supervising team members, engaging with clients as a technical advisor, and ensuring the accuracy and excellence of deliverables. The position requires a strong understanding of greenhouse gas emissions, decarbonization strategies, and climate risk assessment, while also fostering team development and contributing to business growth.

Responsibilities
• Provide technical expertise and oversight on service offerings and products delivered by the Climate Risk Solutions Team.

• Train and supervise members within the CRS Technical Services track.
,
• Engage with clients as a technical advisor and subject matter expert, providing actionable insights.
,
• Regularly review client deliverables to ensure accuracy and consistency with best practices.
,
• Manage team development, performance management, and engagement.
,
• Contribute to business development efforts and represent RE Tech at conferences and speaking engagements.
,
• Monitor climate and decarbonization industry topics and provide input on enhancing offerings.
,
• Plan and deliver education and training for team members.
,
• Effectively utilize RE Tech Rotational Program staff and oversee their training and task completion.

Requirements
• At least 7 years of applicable work experience.
,
• At least 5 years of experience in decarbonization, net zero, carbon neutrality, and carbon accounting.
,
• Experience managing teams performing greenhouse gas inventories and climate risk assessments.
,
• At least one year of experience managing people and teams.
,
• Experience in a client-facing consulting role.

Nice-to-haves
• Knowledge of clean energy project finance methods such as PACE and power purchase agreements.

• Experience with third-party climate risk analytics software tools.

• Familiarity with supply chain sustainability and lifecycle assessment.
