Senior Technical Consultant – ESG Software Implementation (remote in India, US working hours)

The role involves leading the implementation of a sustainability SAAS platform, utilizing skills in Java, Python, Couchbase, PostgreSQL, and dashboarding tools. Candidates should have 6+ years of experience in software development and be able to work with global teams across various time zones, particularly with a focus on European clients.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Technical Consultant based in India to lead the implementation of our ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and Sustainability SAAS platform. You’ll be working with a global client base and cross-functional teams that are based in Europe, so working hours must include overlap with Central European Time (CET). You can expect most working days to be 1500 to 2300 IST.

In this role, you'll use your expertise in Java, Python, Couchbase, PostgreSQL, Apache Superset, and Tableau to build scalable, data-driven tools that empower organizations to manage and improve their sustainability performance.
What You’ll Do
• Lead client engagements to define technical requirements and ESG-specific workflows
• Design and implement backend services using Python and Java, tailored to ESG metrics and compliance frameworks
• Build scalable data architectures using Couchbase (NoSQL) and PostgreSQL (SQL)
• Build intuitive dashboards in Apache Superset, Tableau for ESG reporting, delivering both high-level KPIs and detailed drill-down analytics
• Integrate external ESG data sources and APIs
• Optimize data pipelines for performance, integrity, and compliance
• Collaborate with global product, sustainability, and engineering teams
• Mentor junior consultants and drive best practices across the engineering team

What You Bring
• 6+ years in software development or consulting roles
• Proficiency in Python and Java
• Deep experience with Couchbase and PostgreSQL
• Strong dashboarding skills using Apache Superset and Tableau
• Solid knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native architectures (AWS, GCP)
• Excellent verbal and written communication with a client-focused mindset
• It is critical that you have the ability to communicate directly with clients and deliver implementations, solve issues and deliver results.
• Ability to thrive in a demanding role with multiple priorities and ability to collaborate with a distributed cross functional team to get the job done
• Availability to dynamically cover timezones as Pulsora is a global organization with team members in India, Europe, East Coast USA, and West Coast USA
