Senior Supervisor

ACRWORLD is seeking a Senior Supervisor for civil infrastructure projects in Mackay, Australia, specifically in the mining industry. The role involves managing onsite crews, ensuring safety compliance, and liaising with project teams. Candidates should have a strong civil construction background and experience on Tier 1 sites. My client is seeking an experienced Senior Supervisor to join the team in Central Queensland. Specialising in civil infrastructure for the mining industry, they have projects all over the Bowen Basin.

The Role:
• Supervising and managing a crew onsite as well as subcontractors
• Ensuring workers are aware of and adhere to the safety standards of the site
• Liaising with the Safety Advisor to ensure incidents and near misses are recorded and investigated and dealt with appropriately
• Working closely with the wider team including Project Managers, Engineers, Safety and the Client
• Planning, monitoring and managing cost on site on a daily basis
• Conducting toolbox talks and prestart meetings.

The Requirements
• A strong background in civil construction is essential
• Ability to lead by example and gain respect from the crew
• Experience working on Tier 1 Infrastructure sites
• Ability to build relationships with the crew, wider team and clients
• Passion for safety and ensuring procedures are followed

The Rewards
• Long term position, starting on a contract/temporary basis there is an option to join the team on a permanent basis down the line
• Weekly pay with a day rate reflective of experience
• Pay can be TFN or ABN
• Flexible rosters either Monday-Friday or 9:5 depending on crew and requirements
• Strong pipeline of work on major sites for Tier 1 clients
