About the role:

Senior Specialist - Sourcing provides expert knowledge within the Procurement, Supply Chain and Category Management disciplines and specific procurement sourcing optimisation knowledge of significant value to the Origin business.   

This role goes beyond purchasing goods and services and focuses on creating value through cost savings, supplier relationships and aligning sourcing activities to deliver Origin's Purpose, guided by Origin's Values.  

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement strategic sourcing frameworks to drive value and achieve business objectives.
• Spearhead supplier negotiations, ensuring maximum value extraction and robust contractual agreements.
• Manage the entire procurement process from sourcing through delivery and close-out, capturing valuable lessons learned.
• Utilize market insights and commercial acumen to identify and deliver significant value through strategic sourcing.
• Build strong relationships with business units and suppliers to ensure coordinated and effective procurement outcomes.
• Align sourcing activities with Origin's social responsibility commitments, including local, indigenous, and ethical procurement.
• Uphold rigorous procurement processes, complying with all legal, ethical, and Origin's governance standards.
• and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize performance across procurement.

What will you bring?

You will role model Origin’s values, be self-driven, with ability to be proactive and take initiative. A team player with ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of people across levels, building positive, productive working relationships.
• 7-10 years of relevant experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Experience in the construction industry, energy infrastructure industry, resources industry or oil & gas industry.
• Qualification or experience in quantity surveying, construction management or project management
• Demonstrate proven expertise in strategic sourcing and effective supplier management.
• Lead projects and manage cross-functional teams to achieve successful outcomes.
• Provide guidance and delegate tasks, indirectly supervising junior team members.
• Hold an undergraduate degree in commerce, economics, accounting, law, engineering, business, or a similar discipline.
• Maintain a strong commercial focus in decision-making and manage procurement and contracts effectively.
• Influence and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders across the business.
• Demonstrate agility in adapting to change and take accountability for all tasks and responsibilities.
