Inari is seeking a Senior Scientist for Assay Development in Cambridge, MA. As an Assay Lead, You Will:
• Lead and manage assay development projects, ensuring timely execution and delivery of project milestones.
• Design, execute, and optimize high-throughput phenotypic and molecular assays in vitro and in planta.
• Serve as a key communicator between project teams and the platform, ensuring seamless integration and collaboration.
• Mentor and guide junior scientists and research associates, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists and computational biologists to create the data needed to train and test state-of-the-art models.
• Work with other scientists and research associates to develop, plan, execute, and deliver scientific objectives in an accountable manner.
• Interpret data, maintain accurate and comprehensive records, and communicate results to different internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to Inari’s culture by living and demonstrating the values of being Open, Bold, Innovative, Diverse, Collaborative, and operating with Integrity.
You Bring:
• PhD. in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Synthetic Biology, or a similar field; or equivalent experience in an industry context with a Master's or Bachelor's degree.
• Advanced knowledge and demonstrated experience with high-throughput screening in cellular, microbial, or plant systems.
• Knowledge and understanding of genome editing technologies.
• Strong experience in the analysis of functional genomic screening data and integration of functional genomics with molecular profiling and other data types.
• Experience in method assay scale-up, such as automated liquid-handling, microfluidics, or pooled-library designs.
• Demonstrated track record of tackling complex problems, critical thinking, leading others to obtain novel insights, and driving a culture of innovation.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to lead in a hands-on, lab-based manner.
• Adaptability and enthusiasm for new challenges, innate curiosity, and a passion for learning.
• A collaborative mindset that is open to giving and receiving ideas, perspectives, and feedback.
• Ability to work both independently and deliver on responsibilities within a highly collaborative environment.
• Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of individuals and audiences.
