The Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute is seeking a Senior Scientific Officer for Laboratory Sustainable Livestock Systems in Northern Ireland. The role involves management responsibilities at both the AFBI Hillsborough and Loughgall laboratory sites. The position offers a salary range of £42,315 - £45,351, with potential for higher pay from August 2025. SALARY: £42,315 - £45,351 (£47,304 - £49,515 with effect from 1st August 2025)

DEPARTMENT: Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute Northern Ireland (AFBI)

LOCATION: AFBI Hillsborough, Large Park, Royal Hillsborough, County Down BT26 6DR. However, with management responsibility for the AFBI Loughgall lab then a regular presence also required at the AFBI Loughgall laboratory site

Further permanent appointments may be made from this competition should AFBI positions become vacant which have similar duties and responsibilities.
