Job Description
Dandelion Energy is hiring a Senior Sales Engineer for Geothermal Systems in Mt Kisco, NY. The role involves supporting the sales team by providing technical expertise, developing customized geothermal proposals, and maintaining strong customer relationships. Candidates should have 5+ years of experience, a relevant degree, and skills in technical sales support and HVAC systems. Benefits include health insurance, 401k, and stock options.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Sales Engineer to support our Sales team in closing enterprise deals by providing technical expertise, creating geothermal system designs, specifications, budgets, and building strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the Sales Team in Closing Enterprise Deals
• Develop customized geothermal proposals, including loop and manifold designs, heat pump specifications, and system integration plans.
• Ensure proposals optimize performance, cost efficiency, and compatibility with rebate and incentive programs to support the sales process.
• Collaborate with the Sales team to prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, quotes, and proposals tailored to client needs.
• Create and Maintain Strong Customer Relationships
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor, providing pre-sales and post-sales technical support to clients.
• Work closely with home builders and multifamily developers to assess HVAC needs and recommend appropriate geothermal solutions.
• Design Systems & Provide Technical Expertise
• Offer in-depth knowledge of geothermal technologies, components, and installation processes to educate clients and address technical questions.
• Partner with and train enterprise sales teams on the technical aspects of geothermal heat pumps.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to refine and improve product offerings.
• Hand off technical specifications to Project management team and support pre construction through implementation.
• Industry Compliance & Market Awareness
• Ensure all proposed systems meet industry standards and regulations, including tax incentives, utility rebates, and energy-efficiency requirements.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor products, and emerging geothermal technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
• 5+ Years work experience
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in technical sales support, HVAC, or renewable energy systems.
• Strong understanding of construction technologies, system components, and design principles.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in CAD software and/or energy modeling tool.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external stakeholders.
