Airswift is hiring a Senior Safety Advisor for a 9-month casual contractor role in Kambalda East, WA, on a 2:1 FIFO roster from Perth. The advisor will develop and audit safety plans, manage safety programs, lead incident investigations, and conduct OHS training. Candidates need a tertiary degree in OHS or related field, experience in construction/heavy industry, and strong communication skills. Role Overview
Our client, a renowned global EPCM, is seeking a Senior Safety Advisor to join their team on a renewable energy project in the gold sector. This position is based on a 2:1 FIFO roster, with flights out of Perth. The role is expected to begin between April and May, with a 10.5-hour workday.
As a key member of the team, you will:
• Review, develop, maintain, and audit the project’s safety plan for compliance.
• Support the delivery of safety programs.
• Manage and communicate safety initiatives and OHS outcomes.
• Lead incident investigations and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and deliver OHS training and inductions.
• Submit weekly/monthly OHS reports and statistics.
• Assist in using risk management tools and implementing controls.
• Review and approve contractor safety documentation including HSE plans, CRAWs, SWMS, and JHAs.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments to manage risks.
What you’ll have:
• Tertiary degree or diploma in OHS or related field.
• Experience in construction/heavy industry.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety laws and regulations.
• Practical OHS experience in operations, including risk management, emergency response, and injury management in the resources sector.
• Effective team player in a multifunctional management team.
• Strong organizational, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills; INX experience is a plus.
• Valid Australian Driver’s License.
