As a Senior Renewable Energy Project Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and successful delivery of renewable energy projects. You will manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, including scope definition, resource allocation, budget management, risk mitigation, stakeholder communication, and timeline adherence. Key responsibilities will include:
Leading the planning and execution of renewable energy projects (solar, wind, geothermal, etc.) from initial feasibility studies through to commercial operation. Developing detailed project plans, including scope, budgets, timelines, and resource requirements. Managing project risks, issues, and changes, implementing mitigation strategies as needed. Coordinating with internal teams (engineering, finance, legal) and external stakeholders (vendors, contractors, regulatory bodies, community representatives). Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Monitoring project progress and providing regular, clear, and concise reports to senior management and stakeholders. Overseeing contract negotiations and managing vendor and contractor performance. Ensuring compliance with all relevant environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements. Driving innovation and continuous improvement in project management methodologies and renewable energy technologies. Mentoring and guiding junior project managers and team members.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil), Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in project management, with at least 5 years specifically focused on renewable energy projects. Demonstrated success in managing multiple complex projects simultaneously. In-depth knowledge of renewable energy technologies, project development lifecycles, and the energy market. Strong understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, and cost control for large-scale projects. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6, Asana). Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders. PMP or other relevant project management certifications are highly desirable. Familiarity with relevant environmental and permitting regulations.
