Job Description
Huntington is seeking a Senior Relationship Manager for Renewable Energy Finance, responsible for sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and closing financing transactions. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in renewable energy project finance, strong negotiation and documentation skills, and an existing network within the industry. This remote position offers a salary range of $145,000 to $185,000, with opportunities for flexible work arrangements and participation in an incentive compensation plan.
Description
Summary:
The Senior Relationship Manager (SRM) – Renewable Energy Finance leads the sourcing, structuring, negotiating, documenting, and closing of sale, leaseback and debt transactions for Huntington National Bank’s (HNB) Renewable Energy Finance group. This SRM is the main point of contact for the sponsor/developer and lead/participant banks throughout the term of the financing relationship.
The ideal candidate brings in-depth knowledge of the renewable energy finance market with extensive transaction experience in renewable energy project finance, strong structuring, pricing, negotiation, and documentation skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Leads the sourcing and developing of new transaction opportunities, sponsor/developer relationships, and lead bank relationships
• Assists HNB relationship managers on renewable energy financing opportunities with existing and prospective bank clients
• Leads pre-commitment transaction diligence
• Creates competitive and profitable proposals using debt and tax equity financing structures
• Represents and is held accountable for HNB transactions
• Leads negotiation of transaction documents
• Interacts with external counsel, independent engineer, appraiser, and other consultants on pre-closing transaction diligence
• Leads transaction closing process in coordination with HNB Operations
• Interacts with sponsors as well as lead and participant banks on post-closing items and requests
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and/or work experience
• Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in renewable energy project finance including tax equity structures
Preferred Qualifications:
• Existing network with lead banks and sponsors
• Demonstrated structuring, negotiation, and documentation skills
• Strong organizational, analytical, and due diligence skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; strong working experience with ABC pricing software
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to travel

Compensation Range:
$145,000 - 185,000 Annual Salary
The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
