About the Job:

As the Senior Project Manager you will oversee the execution of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects from Limited Notice to Proceed (LNTP) through to final completion. The role includes managing all project aspects, from planning and engineering to procurement, construction, and commissioning. This individual will act as the primary point of contact, coordinating internal teams, clients, subcontractors, vendors and other stakeholders to deliver turnkey BESS projects. A proven track record in project management, EPC construction, and excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
• You’ll be responsible managing the execution of medium to high-complexity projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget and schedule whilst acting as the main point of contact for all project stakeholders, managing expectations and fostering collaboration.
• You’ll develop and manage project plans, work assignments, and team coordination while identifying and mitigating risks as well as preparing project reports, monitor milestones and troubleshoot challenges as they rise.
• Assist in due diligence on potential storage project opportunities and collaborate with system designers and subcontractors to develop project-specific plans aligned with local codes and regulations.
• Prepare budgets, schedules, and procurement recommendations for construction and subcontractors and support the negotiation and preparation of EPC contracts alongside commercial and legal teams.
• You’ll be responsible for managing the design engineering contracts and oversee permitting activities and ensuring timely delivery of engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation.

About You:
• Degree or diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering
• Minimum 4 years in managing construction projects, with preference for utility scale renewable energy or BESS projects
• Familiarity with medium voltage power systems, energy storage and relevant codes and standards.
• Valid driving license with a clean record
• Willingness to travel as needed for projects.
