Job Description
GridStor is hiring a Senior Project Engineer for Utility Scale Battery Energy Storage projects in Portland, OR. The role involves leading engineering efforts, managing project scope, risks, and schedules, and acting as a technical contact with various stakeholders. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 6 years of experience in power system design, with a preference for those familiar with battery energy storage systems.
Job Summary:
GridStor is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to lead the engineering efforts for Utility Scale Battery Energy Storage projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for making critical engineering decisions and managing all engineering activities from late-stage development through construction and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and execute engineering for projects in late-stage development through construction stage with understanding and managing the scope, risks, engineering schedule and budget, major stakeholders and decision makers.
Interface with EPC, Major Equipment Suppliers, AHJs, Consultants, Independent Engineers and other cross-functional teams and act as the main technical point of contact.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering
Experience: A minimum of 6+ years in power system design (minimum 2 years in BESS). Background in Substation/HV or Battery System Integration highly desirable
Location & Availability: Preference to be based in Portland, OR and available to work a hybrid schedule per company guidelines.
