Job Description

The Senior Program Analyst position at New Jersey Clean Energy Jobs Program involves supporting utility-led Energy Efficiency Incentive programs. Hiring Company Overview

The JPI Group, on behalf of DNV Energy Services USA Inc. ("DNV"), is seeking a Senior Program / Business Analyst (BA) to join our team. Our team supports the implementation of the utility-led Energy Efficiency Incentive programs for business customers. This is a hybrid position and is based out of DNV's Jersey City, New Jersey office. The candidate must be able to work three (3) days in the office and 2 days remotely.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for analytical and reporting activities to support data-driven decision making for our utility-led energy efficiency incentive program. This role will also serve as the program's point of contact with IT teams to manage, improve and test program databases.

Job Responsibilities

Tasks include but are not limited to:
• Data Management & Reporting
• Perform a variety of quality control checks to maintain and assure the accuracy and consistency of data in tracking systems
• Implement corrective actions as needed
• Maintain existing reporting tools, identify enhancements, track
• Deliver weekly and monthly status reports
• Submit transaction report(s) within agreed upon delivery schedule and ensure they meet submission specifications
• Compile and deliver ad hoc reports as needed
• Compile reports on energy efficiency program, including energy savings, incentive calculations, technology cost impacts, and application processes/statuses
• Financial Planning and Analysis Management
• Assist with financial planning and reporting needs
• Prepare and deliver accurate invoices on a timely basis
• Deliver financial risk reports and support team in revenue recognition
• Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support strategic decisions
• Track financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and potential issues.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
• Database Monitor
• Work with IT to ensure database configuration meets the needs of the program (population of database lookup tables, identification of business requirements, and ensure proper database configuration).
• Ensure program team is trained in procedures for using tracking systems, operational reports, and batch tools

Qualifications
• 5+ Years energy efficiency experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree in analytic discipline, such as (but not limited to) finance, engineering, or programming is strongly preferred
• High proficiency in using data analysis tools such as Power BI, Oracle, and Excel
• Prior experience with using programming languages such as R, Python, or JavaScript
• Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting
• Familiarity with energy savings concepts and analysis
• Prior project experience on developing IT business requirements and/or participating in database management system projects
• Positive, reliable, collaborative and team-oriented attitude
• Ability to work on a hybrid basis, which requires 3 days in office
• Excellent oral and written communications skills

Physical Abilities

Ability to work core business hours, 8am to 5pm or 9am-6pm
Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods
Communicating in verbal and written format with others to exchange information in a professional manner
Repeating motions (i.e., typing) that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned

Work Environment

This is a hybrid work position, where the hire will work three (3) days in the office in Jersey City, NJ and two (2) days remotely. The office overlooks the Hudson River with pristine views of lower Manhattan.
The work environment is friendly, fun, cooperative, and very fast-paced. Staff members need to be able to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
