TemperPack is a rapidly growing company based in Richmond, Virginia. We design and manufacture innovative, sustainable packaging components for cold-chain shipping of food and pharmaceutical products. The markets we serve have an urgent need for disruptive, sustainable alternatives to replace the wide array of non-sustainable packaging materials conventionally used in the cold chain such as Styrofoam coolers. Our aspiration is to provide packaging solutions that customers and end-consumers feel great about using .

Job Description

After launching with a focus on packaging insulation for the temperature-sensitive shipments, TemperPack has a growing portfolio of products and is entering new markets in the packaging space.

We’re looking to hire a Senior Product Marketer to fuel our growth with strategic thinking about our products and messaging. We need a person who can help lead a systemic approach to crafting value propositions, messaging, and sales tools for our products. An ideal candidate thrives in an environment where market dynamics can shift quickly and can rally the team to adjust our messaging and approach as needed.

The right person for this role will enjoy working with people, be comfortable with an ever-changing To-Do list, and have a genuine interest in sustainable packaging.

Essential Job Functions:
• Learn our business – collaborate with sales, operations, and engineering to understand how we work with customers, produce our products, and innovate.
• Develop and maintain a consistent process for capturing and communicating market insights – what we’re hearing from customers, what competitors are doing, macro trends.
• Crystalize value propositions for our product lines – how they address the needs from our customers and are differentiated from competitors.
• Develop marketing campaigns for new product introductions
• Develop tools for the sales team for how we compete and win against competitive materials.
• Guide our thinking in product naming – creating hierarchies and protocols for product lines and specific product iterations.
• Write about our products – in product sell sheets, presentations, web pages, and tools.

Qualifications

Experience:
• 8+ years in strategic marketing, preferably for businesses in technical or industrial markets.
• Critical thinking and strong writing: craft strategies and messaging that are grounded in fact, clear, and compelling.
• Strong data orientation: comfort generating and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data and communicating conclusions in a clear way.
• Strong team orientation: values the insights from employees and customers, asks good questions, listens carefully, enhances the discussion, builds community.
• Creativity: develop inventive ways to position and promote our products.
• Technical skills: intermediate experience using Excel, Keynote, PowerPoint
• Preferred experience with Salesforce and HubSpot.

Education:
• Bachelors degree required, preferably in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Analytics.
