About this Role

The Senior Portfolio Manager, Venture at Growald Climate Fund will play a critical role in expanding and managing the venture philanthropy portfolio. Responsibilities
• Manage a portfolio of grantees, providing strategic guidance and support.
• Conduct visits and regular check-ins with grantees to assess progress.
• Ensure grantees receive necessary support and resources.
• Coordinate internal resources and connect with external opportunities.
• Manage the entire grantmaking process, from application to reporting.
• Develop program materials, such as agendas and presentations.
• Identify trends and insights to inform portfolio strategy or processes.
• Track and analyze grantee performance and contribute to impact reports.
• Lead strategic convenings, workshops, and other stakeholder events.
• Conduct research and draft strategic memos on potential grantmaking areas.

Requirements
• 4-6 years of experience in philanthropy, climate-focused social enterprise, or mission-led enterprise.
• Content expertise in areas like energy transition, climate mitigation, or global climate diplomacy.
• International experience with nonprofits or energy markets preferred.
• Direct experience with grantmaking or grant-receiving organizations preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Multilingual skills are a plus.
• Graduate degree (e.g., MBA, MPH, MPP) preferred.
