Sustainable Energy Policy Expertise

We are seeking an experienced Policy Advisor, Special Projects to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative policies that drive sustainable energy solutions.

About the Role

This challenging position involves researching, analyzing, and advising on policy strategies and special projects related to sustainable energy. You will work closely with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders to navigate complex policy landscapes and identify opportunities for growth and collaboration.

Responsibilities
• Advise on special projects and priorities, including relationships with federal agencies, coordination with local jurisdictions, and development of internal policy recommendations;
• Represent the organization on boards and committees as needed, such as the Regional Air Quality Council;
• Track, analyze, and coordinate interagency responses to changes in federal policy and maintain progress for Colorado's zero-emission vehicle transition;
• Provide analytical, research, and communications support regarding proposed legislation, regulatory proceedings, strategic plans, and roadmaps.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
• A bachelor's degree, preferably in a relevant field like policy development or environmental studies;
• At least 8 years of professional experience, with a strong background in policy development and government;
• Experience working with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and legislation;
• Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills;
• Ability to navigate complex policy landscapes and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
