Job Description

Terracon, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a growth-oriented Senior NEPA Project Manager for our northeastern telecommunications-focused NEPA team. We are looking for candidates with expertise in multi-agency NEPA with specific expertise in FCC projects.
As a Senior NEPA Project Manager, you will work closely with senior personnel across the region to deliver telecommunications projects requiring compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) in multiple states for multiple wireless carriers. Elements for success include ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and also coordinating effectively with clients, agencies, and stakeholders. In this role, you will coordinate with other specialists to deliver multidisciplinary work products for clients. Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
• Manage telecommunications projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget with attention to preparing schedules, budgets and forecasts, as well as, selecting appropriate project staff, and contractors.
• Interact with client and stakeholders to deliver projects aligned with their goals.
• Lead safety efforts including preparation and compliance with approved safety plan.
• Identify, develop, and gather necessary resources to complete the project; partner with other departments or offices to secure specialized resources, as needed.
• Conduct project meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team.
• Coach and mentor project staff and assist them to solve problems.
• Coordinates with the Approved Project Reviewer (APR) to ensure appropriate oversight is in place and sufficient time allowed for quality reviews.
• Coordinates with accounting for financial management of business intelligence, invoicing and collections.
• Develop understanding and be aware of project-related risk. Be familiar with what could go wrong on a project and how to protect the Company. Be familiar with company risk policies.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in an environmental-related field preferred; however, a Bachelor's degree in another field is acceptable with the appropriate experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Minimum of 10 years of related experience in environmental permitting and management of projects that involve NEPA compliance and working with agencies such as the FCC, NTIA, or NPS (applicant or third-party).
• Thorough and current knowledge of NEPA and other federal, state, and local environmental permitting regulations such as the Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, National Historic Preservation Act, and other federal, state, and local regulations.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
Preferred Certification:
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
