Senior Metallurgist

NES Fircroft is seeking a Senior Metallurgist for a permanent FIFO role in Kalgoorlie, WA, Australia. The position requires a tertiary degree in Process or Chemical Engineering and at least 3 years of gold processing experience. Responsibilities include supporting gold processing operations and guiding the metallurgy team. The role offers a salary of A$175K per year and a full-time schedule on an 8/6 roster.
NES Fircroft are currently partnering with an emerging gold miner with sites based throughout the Kalgoorlie region of Western Australia in sourcing a Senior Metallurgist to join their site based team. This role is a permanent FIFO position on an 8/6 roster to support the day to day gold processing operations and provide guidance for the metallurgy team.

Key experience/skills the role requires are
• Tertiary degree in Process or Chemical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of Gold Processing experience within Australia
• Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with mining and geology departments
• Process improvement and cost reduction project exposure
• Strong metallurgical monitoring and accounting experience
• Currently located in Western Australia with full Australian working rights
