ConnectDER is seeking a Senior Master Planner in Philadelphia, PA, to lead strategic supply and demand planning initiatives. Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Master Planner plays a critical leadership role in shaping and executing strategic supply and demand plans that align with business goals and customer needs. As a key driver of operational excellence, this individual will lead cross-functional initiatives to streamline resource allocation, boost efficiency, and ensure on-time delivery across the supply chain. With a strong focus on data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement, the Senior Master Planner will mentor planning teams, champion collaboration, and cultivate a forward-thinking planning culture that supports both short- and long-term success at ConnectDER.
• This is an on-site position, requiring 5 days/week in our Philadelphia, PA Office*
Core Functions/Duties
• Develop and execute strategic master planning initiatives to optimize production capacity, inventory management, and supply chain efficiency.
• Align demand forecasts, production schedules, and inventory strategies with overall company objectives.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Logistics, and Customer Success teams to proactively address supply chain constraints and opportunities.
• Utilize data analytics and market insights to refine forecasting models, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement.
• Foster a collaborative, data-driven planning culture by sharing knowledge and guiding team members on best practices and advanced planning methodologies.
• Implement and enhance planning systems, tools, and processes to improve accuracy, responsiveness, and agility.
• Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure planning effectiveness, drive accountability, and support executive decision-making.
• Partner with leadership to drive long-term supply chain strategies, supporting business growth and operational scalability.
Compensation range for this role begins at $80,000 + bonus + equity

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Education
• Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations or related field, preferred.
• APICS, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing or other related certifications, preferred.
Required Experience
• 7+ years in supply and demand planning, strategic resource management, or production scheduling.
• Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems for planning and scheduling.
• Strong background in inventory optimization, capacity planning, and production scheduling in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Proven ability to collaborate across supply chain functions (Procurement, Logistics, Operations).
• Experience guiding or mentoring planning teams within a supply chain function, fostering growth in technical skills and decision-making.
• Strategic Planning & Decision-Making – Ability to develop and execute long-term plans that align with business goals.
• Analytical & Data-Driven Approach – Expertise in demand forecasting, market analysis, and using KPIs for decision-making.
• Problem-Solving & Risk Management – Ability to anticipate disruptions and develop contingency plans.
• Cross-Functional Leadership – Strong communication and influencing skills to drive collaboration.
• Systems & Technology Proficiency – Advanced knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, planning tools, and Excel/Google Sheets (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
• Process Improvement & Best Practices – Experience optimizing planning methodologies like Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
Preferred Experience
• Advanced Data Analytics – Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or Python for supply chain analytics.
• Project Management Experience – Ability to drive large-scale supply chain improvement projects.
Key Competencies
• Global Supply Chain Knowledge – Experience working with international suppliers, logistics, and demand planning for multiple regions.
• Change Management Expertise – Ability to lead transformation initiatives and drive adoption of new planning tools/processes.
US Salary Range
$80,000—$90,000 USD
