Job Description
Avaada is seeking a Senior Manager/DGM for Procurement-Capex in Solar Manufacturing in Noida, India. The role involves leading procurement activities for CAPEX projects, developing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely material acquisition. Responsibilities include cost management, contract negotiation, compliance, and process improvement. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and 10-18 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the solar manufacturing sector.
The incumbent will lead and oversee the procurement activities related to Capital Expenditures (CAPEX) for solar manufacturing business. This role will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely acquisition of materials, equipment, and services needed for CAPEX projects. He will play a key role in optimizing procurement processes, controlling costs, and contributing to the successful implementation of CAPEX projects aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:-
Procurement Strategy Development:
Develop and implement procurement strategies for CAPEX projects, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and industry best practices.
Analyze market trends and economic conditions to forecast procurement needs and identify potential risks and opportunities.
Supplier Management:-
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for CAPEX projects, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions.
Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or cost.
CAPEX Procurement Planning:-
Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
Develop and execute detailed procurement plans for CAPEX projects, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement activities are aligned with project milestones and deadlines.
Cost Management:-
Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitive pricing and cost-effectiveness in procurement activities.
Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Contract Management:-
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and purchase agreements for CAPEX projects, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
Manage contract execution and address any disputes or issues that arise during the contract lifecycle.
Compliance and Risk Management:-
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements related to procurement activities.
Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, including supply chain disruptions, quality issues, and financial risks.
Process Improvement:-
Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Implement best practices and innovative solutions to optimize procurement operations.
Reporting and Documentation:-
Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, project status, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement transactions, contracts, and supplier information.
Education:-
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPM, CPP) is preferred.
Experience:-
Minimum of 10-18 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a focus on CAPEX projects in the manufacturing or solar manufacturing industry.
Proven experience in managing large-scale procurement projects and leading a procurement team.
Skills:-
Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to CAPEX procurement in the solar sector.
