In the Senior Manager, Utility-scale Development role at RWE Clean Energy, you will be responsible for initiating, developing, and acquiring utility-scale solar, wind, and energy storage projects in the US and Canada. You will play a key role in delivering renewable energy projects aligned with RWE's North American strategy.
Role Responsibilities:
• Develop a portfolio of utility-scale Solar, Wind, and Energy Storage projects from green fielding to start of construction.
• Support during the construction phase to ensure successful COD.
• Manage large cross-functional project teams as project lead.
• Manage junior Development Managers / Associates leading individual projects.
• Identify the most attractive project locations in collaboration with RWE's commercial and technical teams.
• Manage the full project lifecycle, including site due diligence, land agreements, environmental permits, interconnection, engineering, energy yield, tax incentives, power marketing, and financing.
• Drive project competitiveness through technical, commercial, and financial levers.
• Lead project acquisition due diligence with RWE's M&A team.
• Prepare management presentations and facilitate internal approval processes.
• Manage project budgets, objectives, schedules, and deliverables.
• Contribute to regional strategy and internal improvement initiatives.Job Requirements and Experiences:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business/economics, environmental science, or relevant fields.
• At least 6 years of experience in renewable energy infrastructure, developing wind, solar, or battery storage projects in the US.
• Exceptional project management skills.
• Strong problem-solving, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and work ethic.
• Ability to mentor and develop junior colleagues.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.Benefits:
