NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Senior Manager, STEM & Sustainability based in our Charlotte, North Carolina office.

The Senior Manager, STEM & Sustainability, is responsible for managing NASCAR's STEM platform and STEM-focused programming in collaboration with the company's education partners and industry stakeholders. The role also includes management of key projects supporting NASCAR's long-term sustainability strategy and initiatives designed to lessen the sport's carbon footprint.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Provide day-to-day oversight of NASCAR's expanding STEM platform, including curriculum integration, in-classroom activation, digital experiences, special events, and more.
• Collaborate with local school districts, education partners, and other stakeholders around the development of NASCAR-themed STEM programs and experiences.
• Lead planning and execution of at-track and/or in-market STEM events and activations.
• Manage projects and initiatives that support NASCAR's sustainability strategy and the pursuit of sustainability-related goals and objectives.
• Shepherd multiple sustainability workstreams, including Project management related to implementing sustainability initiatives at track | Executing sustainability initiatives at major NASCAR events | Support annual NASCAR IMPACT report development.
• Conduct research, critical analysis, and due diligence related to sustainability tactics, operations, and measurement.
• Work with internal business units and industry stakeholders to identify collaborative STEM and/or sustainability opportunities and implement related programming, sustainable practices, etc.
• Contribute to additional pillars of the NASCAR IMPACT platform, including community partnerships and volunteer initiatives for company employees.
• Pursue and develop partnership, content, and storytelling opportunities that support NASCAR's social responsibility/sustainability efforts and the continued growth of NASCAR IMPACT.
• Create and develop planning materials, activation recaps, internal communications, etc.
• Travel: Up to 20%, including weekends.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in STEM education, sustainability, social responsibility, youth programming and/or curriculum development, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Proficient in company-provided hardware and software.
