Expedia Group is seeking a Senior Manager for Climate and Sustainability in West Hollywood, CA. About the position

In this role, you will lead Expedia Group’s environmental sustainability and climate strategy, establish strategic impact priorities and action plans, while working closely with the Vice President, Global Social Impact and Sustainability. You will drive the strategic vision and agenda for the company’s position on climate, both from an operational perspective and to embed sustainability across our travel platforms. Collaborating with stakeholders across Expedia Group, you will drive the strategy, activities, and narrative to address environmental sustainability issues that align with and support business goals. You will work with leaders across Expedia Group to set and deliver upon sustainability goals and KPIs in alignment with industry benchmarks and business goals, including both internal operations and with our products and technologies. Additionally, you will monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of environmental sustainability initiatives and develop appropriate presentations and reports to share progress with stakeholders. You will participate in and manage internal working groups, represent Expedia Group in external sustainability partnerships and working groups, and ensure preparedness and manage ongoing voluntary and compliance environmental reporting such as ratings submissions, regulatory disclosures, and annual reporting. You will drive implementation and oversight on the net-zero roadmap, including leading our cross-functional working group, quarterly reporting on progress, and the Scope 3 supplier engagement strategy. Lastly, you will lead the development of new climate risk and adaptation programs and business integration, and manage strategic programs that embed sustainability across our travel platforms and engage our travel partners.

Requirements
• 8+ years experience across corporate social responsibility, environmental sustainability, climate and/or strategy development.

• Deep expertise in environmental sustainability, with public company experience a plus.

• Success leading large-scale initiatives and engaging a variety of stakeholders.

• Proven stakeholder management skills.
,
• Understanding of the technology and travel sectors.

• Strong project management and organizational skills.

• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent writing and presentation skills.
